Lunchroom Volunteer Sign Up
We greatly appreciate our lunchroom volunteers and are always looking for parents to help. Please use the link, Track it Forward, to sign up. You have the opportunity to volunteer for a shift, either 10:15-11:45 am or 11:45am-1:15pm. Please stay for the entire shift. We appreciate your help. We ask that all volunteers follow a neat, casual dress code (no clothing with inappropriate graphics, short shorts, or beachwear) during their shifts. Lunch volunteer hours will be doubled. Thank you!

Lunch Reminders
Uber Eats and other delivery services are not permitted, nor are fast food lunches brought in. If you are bringing a treat for a birthday, please contact the homeroom teacher prior. Please bring enough for the homeroom or the whole grade. Please do not pass out extra treats to students in other homerooms or the grades as we want to keep it fair for our students.
Lunch Update
Next week, Tuesday, Oct. 20th and Wednesday, Oct. 21st, there will be no lunch service on campus. All students must bring lunch from home on both days. Reminder that no Uber Eats or delivery services are permitted.
1st Quarter Report Cards
1st Quarter Report Cards will be sent at the beginning of next week. We will recognize those who achieved honors at the conclusion of mass on Thursday, October 29th. Honors status as stated in the Parent-Student Handbook is as follows:
- Principal’s Honors (Grades 6-8): 95 or higher in all core and non-core subjects. Conduct and Effort scores of 3 or 4 in all subjects.
- First Honors (Grades 6-8): 90 or higher in all core and non-core subjects. Conduct and Effort scores of 3 or 4 in all subjects.
- Second Honors (Grades 6-8): 85 or higher in all core and non-core subjects. Conduct and Effort scores of 3 or 4 in all subjects.

October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Throughout the month of October, NJHS will be holding pink dress down days to bring awareness and raise funds for breast cancer. All proceeds will benefit Gilda's Club South Florida. Please see the flyer for more information. Please notice the guidelines for Oct. 30 dress down have been updated. All students must adhere to the out of uniform guidelines as written in the Parent-Student Handbook.

One Week Away From Our 2026 Walk-A-Thon!
The countdown is on! The Development Office extends heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors and everyone who has donated toward our $125,000 goal. As of this newsletter, we have raised $62,128! Donations have come from across the nation and around the world, including Canada, Ireland, and Venezuela.
Let's get rolling! Register at mybooster.com and share your student's fundraising page with family, friends, and businesses you patronize. Every donation brings us closer to our goal!
Funds raised will support important campus improvements, including second-floor impact windows, classroom window treatments, replacement Clear Touch Boards and outdoor TVs, and a scissor lift for our Facilities team.

Pastor's Lecture Series
Friday, October 16, 2026
Adult catechesis continues at Saint Gregory with Father Davis offering his 13th Pastor's Lecture Series presentation, this time entitled "Eschatology: The Study of the Last Things, the End of Time, and the Afterlife." There will be five successive Tuesdays, during which Father will offer an hour and a half lecture, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, on the following dates: October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10, and November 17. Each lecture will be held in the church. All are welcome, but RSVP with Ginny Matheo, 954-473-6261, at the church office, so that the correct number of copies and materials can be prepared.
Class Picture Day

Tuesday, October 27 is Class Picture Day
All students will be photographed as a class with their homeroom. The link for ordering the class photo can be found below. The payment link will be active until October 28, 2026.
Tuesday, October 27 is also Picture Make Up/Retake Day.
If you ordered a package and were unhappy with the photo, you may return the package (or proof of purchase if it was a digital photo) and your child will retake their photo on October 27. Only students who were absent or ordered a package are able to retake their photo.
