School Communication

Friday, August 14, 2026

Good afternoon, Parents,

We have had a great couple of days, and we are looking forward to a wonderful school year!

Thank you for your patience during dismissal. We have communicated our concerns with SafePickUp, and we anticipate that dismissal will run smoothly moving forward.

As we discussed at our meeting last Thursday, we are now using the PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS). Transitioning to a new system, particularly one that manages important student and family information, takes time and comes with some challenges. The Archdiocese of Miami and all ADOM schools have been working through this transition since the spring. I am happy to say that we are in a good place with the system, although there are still a few details to work out.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work through these transitions. Our goal is to make communication as clear and consistent as possible for all our families.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are excited for a wonderful year ahead!

Together in Christ,
Mrs. Lisa Young | Principal

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Friday, August 14, 2026

On August 15, the Church celebrates the fact that Mary, the Mother of God, was assumed into Heaven at the end of her earthly life. "The Assumption of Mary is a sign of hope. It gives us the courage to believe that heaven is real and that Mary’s care for her children is real. That all who live united to Christ, especially in the Eucharist, will one day participate in Christ’s paschal glory."

Colombia Needs Your Help

Friday, August 14, 2026

A strong earthquake struck Colombia, leaving many communities devastated and families in urgent need of basic supplies. Three of our St. Gregory moms have family and friends who have been directly affected by the earthquake and its aftermath.

They are organizing a small relief effort to collect essential supplies that will be delivered to Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) in Doral, which is receiving donations to be sent to Colombia.

St. Gregory will act as a donation drop-off point for our families who would like to contribute. Please see the attached flyer with more information. Donations may be dropped off in the breezeway through next Friday, August 21.

We understand this is very short notice, but given the urgent situation, they wanted to act as quickly as possible.

Thank you for any support for these families in Colombia who are going through such a difficult time.
